I have just returned from a really enjoyable two night stay in the Hotel Westport. The hotel is a convenient short stroll from the town by the river. The staff are extremely friendly, the best I have seen in a long time. On my first night there I didn't sleep great as there was some noise on the corridor and I could hear the man in the room beside mine snoring. I reported this to the reception staff. The receptionist was very pleasant and courteous and said I would be moved to another room on the top floor which should hopefully be quieter. To my pleasant surprise I was upgraded to a suite on the second floor first thing the next morning, probably the nicest room I have had the pleasure of staying in. I thought that this was a really nice gesture from the hotel and for this reason alone I would highly recommend the hotel and would most definitely return again. I would really recommend paying that bit extra for a suite as they are truly stunning. Food is tasty and the leisure facilities are excellent. Well worth a visit.

A truly marvellous 5 days! We felt so comfortable and relaxed. Only one suggestion - 2 easy chairs in bedroom rather 3 hard backs would be nice. Very many thanks, Sheila and Mike.

On arrival last Sunday we were met by friendly and helpful staff. We had booked for the over 50s package, but discovered that was not what we wanted. We were immediately changed to a better package. The staff on reception were extremely helpful not only in checking in but sorting out my problems with my mobile. The food was outstanding and extremely well presented. The restaurant staff could not have been more cheerful and helpful. All in all, despite the weather, we had a great break. We will certainly recommend Westport Hotel to our friends. We of course will be returning in the New Year.
