Spring 2014. You're Welcome!
Welcome to our Spring 2014 newsletter. With the days getting longer and people making plans for the year ahead, I am sure a trip to Hotel Westport will be high on the list of places to visit and things to experience for 2014. We at Hotel Westport have just completed a busy Winter programme including the ever popular and successful Christmas Programme coupled with a busy Winter of conferences large and small, great Winter Weddings and not forgetting the ever growing in popularity Wellness, Fitness, Leisure Week in January, our answer to operation transformation, but much more fun.
We have exciting plans for the Spring / Summer and the year ahead. All the favourites will be back including Petie the Panda and the Childrens Clubs for the family Holiday times, Golf, Bridge, Short Mat, Small & Large bowls along with great active aged holidays with our host Sheila and the wonderful staff at Hotel Westport, not forgetting great Weddings in our Cara Suite.
Further on in this newsletter we detail the many wonderful awards won by the Hotel in recent years, this remarkable consistency of service and genuine hospitality is provided by the staff of the Hotel all day every day of the year. Notably we are award wining right across the enterprise not just in one niche area, awards with great credibility that are peer reviewed and assessed by industry experts and Hotel inspectors.
It was fitting then that the major National Award of the Automobile Association ( A.A.) the Courtesy & Care Award for 2013/2014 was bestowed on Hotel Westport. This reflects the customer care that guests experience at the Hotel from our wonderful staff. Commenting at the awards ceremony Mr. Conor Faughnan C.E.O. of the A.A. said that “the award is more personal in nature and reflects an establishment where the members of staff are so warm and welcoming that the AA Inspectors would recommend them to their own friends and family, an Hotel with a lovely atmosphere where very professional service is delivered with a genuine lightness of touch and a sympathetic and very welcoming feel”
There is an air of excitement in the industry at present and we are encouraged by the support given even at government level to hospitality in the country and the region namely with the upcoming Wild Atlantic Way which is to be one of the worlds longest cycle and walkways stretching from Malin to Mizen. This initiative has the ability to deliver wonderful holiday experiences for guests and growth and sustainable employment in the industry right along our coastline, Hotel Westport is well placed to be involved, so watch this space.
We do hope that you find this newsletter informative and interesting, it is peppered with tasters of what we get up to throughout the year, which I hope you agree is pretty interesting, always challenging but never boring.
I hope that I get an opportunity to meet with you during your stay, if not, I am confident that you will be welcomed by one of our great staff, the most positively commented on aspect of what we are, and what we do.
