4* Hotel Westport Achieves Automobile Association (AA) Rosette Accolade For Culinary Excellence.

The 4*Hotel Westport was recently awarded the much coveted AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence.  The Islands Restaurant is regularly frequented by locals and visitors alike.

Commenting on the accolade the Hotel Owner / Director, Cathal Hughes said that “the award was the culmination of all the hard work put in by the Management and all the team at Hotel Westport, especially the Kitchen brigade which is lead by Stephen Fitzmaurice, Fergal Colleran and Ron Morrison”, “the accolade is just reward for the effort, skill and commitment shown by them, and all concerned.

The Hotel was awarded the AA Rosette standard for its commitment to producing food which is cooked with skill and attention to detail. Examples of customer favourite dishes include baked oysters, black sole, and duck breast, not to forget the famous Hotel Westport very berry trifle, and a whole range of the other daily home-made desserts and treats, to name but a few.

Our Chefs at Hotel Westport use the best of local and artisan food producers to create tasty, award-winning dishes and exciting menus.

The AA Rosette Award Winning Islands Restaurant offers classic waiter service dining and fine wines, perfect for an intimate dinner for two, business entertaining or for a family celebration – communions, confirmation, birthdays and anniversaries.  Dinner is served daily from 6pm to 9pm.  Traditional Sunday Lunch is served from 1pm to 2.30pm.  Breakfast is served daily from 7.30am to a leisurely 11am!

The Maple Bar is perfect for a quick bite, a lazy lunch or a fun fabulous cocktail with friends.  An extensive Bar Menu and Daily Specials are available from 12 Noon to 9pm.  Entertainment nightly in season.  Major sporting events are show live on the big screen.
