Trainee Management Development Programme Hotel Westport has been accredited and involved in training managers since 1996 and currently have graduates of the programme working in senior and management positions within the Hotel. This programme is mainly Industry Based, whereby over the three years the trainee gains hands on experience in each department. The academic side of the programme is managed by CERT and the Hotel School at G.M.I.T. in Galway on a block release basis. Hotel Westport supports the students with a full time wage, and help towards fees and expenses for the duration of the programme together with mentoring by previous graduates and senior managers. A pass Leaving Certificate or equivalent to include English and Mathematics (minimum) with some industry experience are essential for entry to the programme.
